Day 1 Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage and get settled in the Hotel Captain Cook for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Mt. McKinley
Depart Anchorage mid-morning for your journey along the George Parks Highway to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. You may catch your first views of incredible Denali along the way. Sit and gaze at the majesty of “The Great One” from the lodge’s treehouse designed and built by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters.
Day 3 Denali
After breakfast, witness the majestic scenery en route to Denali. Spend 2 nights at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge – set above the Nenana River Canyon. Enjoy a 3-course dinner this evening at Fannie Q’s Saloon.
Day 4 Denali
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast. Today’s excursions include a Husky Homestead tour followed by a Tundra Wilderness Denali Park tour.
Experience a true Alaskan lifestyle at Husky Homestead-home of Iditarod Champion, Jeff King. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a championship team and carving a life in Alaska’s Interior. At the end of the tour, you will have the option to hold Iditarod puppies in the making.
The Tundra Wilderness excursion is the premier tour of Denali National Park. This fully narrated guided tour travels 42 scenic miles along the Park Road, offering some of the best opportunities to view the park’s wildlife inhabitants.
Day 5 Denali to Whittier Cruise Port
After breakfast, board the train for an incredibly scenic rail journey through some of the best wilderness via Princess exclusive rail service. Enjoy unobstructed views of the Great Land with huge glass-domed windows in every rail car. Once in Whittier, step from the train onto your ship for the beginning of your unforgettable 7-NT Voyage of the Glaciers Cruise.
